zebrazones/example-recipe-circle commit a8f80c8 scanned 2026-09-27
Good to go
Nothing here exposes user data or lets someone take over an account. Access to each recipe and each person's favourites is enforced by the database, not just hidden in the interface. Two small hardening tips to pick up whenever it suits you.

What we checked
Can one user reach another user's data?
No issuesNothing to fix here.
Can someone bypass signing in?
No issuesNothing to fix here.
Can an attacker run their own commands or database queries?
No issuesNothing to fix here.
Are any passwords or secret keys exposed?

Can the app's requests be abused?
Needs attention- No size limits on recipe content Low
Someone could save recipes with huge or junk values straight through the data API, since the only length checks live in the browser form. It clutters the public feed and wastes storage, but it exposes no one's data.
The fix: Add length and type limits in the database so oversized or malformed recipes are rejected no matter what sends them.

Can uploaded files or user input cause trouble?
Needs attention- Recipe images can point to any website Low
A recipe's image address isn't restricted to your own storage, so someone could point it at an outside site. Every visitor's browser would then quietly load that third-party content when they view the recipe.
The fix: Keep images in your own storage and save only that path, or check the image address before showing it.
